I had the amazing opportunity to interview not one, but TWO Simon cosplayers from Gurren Lagann, and it was pure spiral energy from start to finish! We celebrated our love for this iconic mecha anime and its legacy as it approaches almost 20 years since it first shook the anime world.

We reflected on Simon’s growth, the impact of Kamina’s spirit, and how this series taught us to believe in ourselves and drill through the impossible. We also talked about what we would want from a future season or continuation. Could the legacy continue, or is it perfect as it stands?

And of course, we had to ask the big question. Is Gurren Lagann the greatest mecha anime of all time? Spiral power forever. Who do you believe in?
